Happy new year everyone! As you've probably noticed, the update isn't out yet. However, it'll be out soon. We just need to do some testing and after that we can submit the update for approval. Stay tuned!

Here's some info about the second update. After this update we got most of the things we wanted to have in the game. We're hoping to submit the update within the next two weeks. Hopefully it gets approved quickly.

Also, here's a great poster made by our Boom Brigade artist & designer Timo, which reveals some other interesting stuff.

Some News

The comics compo ended on Sunday and we're working hard on the update. I think I'm not too stretching the truth too much by saying that we're almost done. A new development screenshot featuring the pyro below. Note that the critters catch fire and they may even panic when hit by the flamer!

Comics Competition - Last Strip

Here's the fourth and last strip in Boom Brigade Comics Competition. The comics compo ends on Sunday 11th October, so if you want to participate, now's the time! Remember, winning entries will be featured in the game!

In-game encyclopedia

We've received some requests for a some kind of story or explanation about the game world. Because of this we decided to try a kind of in-game encyclopedia that contains information about the creatures and the world. We're hoping to include it in the next update. However, we haven't decided what to call it yet. Names like Xenopedia or Field Manual have come up. Ideas anyone? Preliminary screenshot below.

New Screenshot

Here's a taster of what's yet to come! Actual in-game screenshot of the pyro (he wants to burn it up). The flamethrower will have a relatively short range, but it will make that up with higher damage. We added a shop screenshot also. After the update there'll be a lot more choices in the "BunkerMart".

Update news - Pyro in action

Here is the first concept shot of the new trooper class Pyro. This flame wielding sweat-master is going to be the bane of all the swarming alien breeds out there.
Area of effect and damage over time will make this guy a formidable addition to the already massive firepower of the brigade.

Stay tuned for more info on the next update.

Boom Brigade News

Thanks to everyone who already supported Boom Brigade! Some people have also wondered about the save game functionality. That feature was left out intentionally in the initial release since single sessions are relatively short. However, it was always considered an update option. So, in future that feature may be implemented.

Also, we're trying to get the word out about Boom Brigade. So, tell your friends :) Here are some recent appearances: toucharcade, pocketgamer, and appadvice.
